Bob Edwards is a CEO with progressive health care experience including clinical background in Respiratory Therapy, director of multiple clinical departments, and CEO leadership of small to medium-sized community and health system facilities. He has a leadership reputation built on integrity, customer satisfaction, community involvement, positive board interaction, trusting staff relationships, and effective strategic execution. He became CEO of Banner Lassen Medical Center in September 2011.
Previously, he had been CEO at Banner's Ogallala Community Hospital.
Edwards came to Banner Health from Cushing Memorial Hospital in Leavenworth, Kan., where he served as CEO of a 74-bed JCAHO-accredited facility.
Prior to his position at Cushing Memorial Hospital, he held a number of hospital leadership positions including CEO of Via Christi Oklahoma Regional Medical Center in Ponca City, Okla. from 2000 – 2003 and Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler, Mo. From 1996 – 2000 he also was assistant to the COO at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark. from 1993 - 1996. Before 1996, Edwards held CEO positions at hospitals across Arkansas.
Edwards holds a master’s degree in business administration from City University in Bellevue, Wash. And a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Ark. He also is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives.
