Michael Garnreiter, CPA

Michael Garnreiter is a managing director with Fenix Financial Forensics LLC, based in Phoenix, Ariz.

He has more than 36 years of business, financial and consulting experience, spanning numerous industries, including mining, manufacturing, financial services, health care, food service, entertainment, and service companies.

Garnreiter also has held senior corporate leadership responsibilities,
including treasurer and chief financial officer of Main Street and Main, a publicly traded restaurant operating company.

Garnreiter is a designated financial expert according to the rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission and is chairman of the audit committee and member of the governance committee for three public company boards.

Prior to becoming associated with Fenix Financial Forensics, Garnreiter had a 27-year accounting and auditing career with Arthur Andersen before retiring in 2002. His experience at Andersen included more than 400 audit-related engagements for private, public and nonprofit organizations, including serving as lead audit partner for numerous years for two large copper producers: Magma Copper and Asarco.

Garnreiter is an active status certified public accountant in California and Arizona.
