Gavin Carmichael, CEO, East Morgan County Hospital
Gavin Carmichael was named Chief Executive Officer of East Morgan County Hospital in January 2010.
Carmichael came to the position after more than 16 years of increasing leadership roles beginning with the U.S. Army and within Banner Health. Previously he was the CEO of Banner’s Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland, Wyo. from 2006–2008 and most recently an associate administrator at Banner’s largest facility, Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Carmichael is a graduate of Oregon State University, with a bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Alaska.
He served in the U. S. Army for 12 years on active duty as a Medical Service Corps officer, and in 2004, was mobilized from the reserves and stationed at Weed Army Community Hospital in Fort Irwin as the chief financial officer and chief personnel manger until he took the position in Wheatland.
