Jim Brannon, CEO, Banner Medical Group
Jim Brannon was named CEO of the Banner Medical Group, a multi-state physician group of more than 1100 physicians across 65 specialties, in 2009.
Brannon joined Banner after being senior vice president and chief operating officer (COO) for the Aurora Medical Group in Milwaukee, WI. Under Brannon’s leadership, Aurora Medical Group grew to nearly 800 physicians across 115 clinic locations in Eastern WI. Jim was a Board member of Aurora Medical Group and Aurora Health Care Ventures, a for-profit subsidiary that primarily operates 130 retail pharmacy stores.
Prior to his role at Aurora Medical Group, Jim Brannon worked for Baptist Memorial Health Care System in Memphis, TN. as the vice president of Network Operation and Relations and was responsible for all physician service activities in 14 regional hospitals in three states as well as two metropolitan hospitals in Memphis.
Brannon was the recipient of the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) Preeminence Award in 2006 and co-led the Aurora Medical Group in receipt of the AMGA Acclaim Award, Honoree in 2002.
He graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1980 with a concentration in Finance.
