Mark Sklar serves on the audit, corporate strategy, executive, finance, investment and nominating committees.
Sklar is managing director of DMB Associates, a real estate investment firm whose primary focus is the development of master planned communities. Sklar was appointed chair of the Maricopa Partnership for Arts and Culture (MPAC) board of directors in August 2004. He is a long-standing community leader, having served on the boards of Valley Big Brothers, Kivel Nursing Home, Phoenix Jewish Community Center, Ballet Arizona, ASU Foundation, Phoenix Jewish Federation, Council for Design Excellence, National Public Radio and KAET Channel 8 Community Advisory Board, Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, and the Phoenix Symphony.
In addition to his role as chair of MPAC, Mr. Sklar currently serves on the boards of Whispering Hope Ranch Foundation, Banner Alzheimer's Institute, and is immediate past chair of The Phoenix Jewish Community Foundation. Sklar has been married for more than 35 years to his supportive, loving, and patient bride, Cookie.
