Michael S. Warden, Senior Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer
Michael S. Warden joined Samaritan Health System, which later became Banner Health, in 1998 as senior vice president of Information Technology and chief information officer.
Prior to that, he served as vice president of Information and chief information officer for Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, Houston Texas, from 1991 to 1998. He served as assistant director of Information Systems for the Daughters of Charity Central Data Processing Staff from 1975 to 1981 and prior to that began his career in health care as director of Data Processing for Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Fla. in 1968. He worked for the Escambia Board of Public Education as a programmer/analyst from 1967 to 1968.
Warden began his career in information technology with the Canadian Government Post Office Headquarters in Ottawa, Canada in 1965 as a programmer/analyst developing one of the first major Canadian Post Office computer applications.
