Michelle Joy, FACHE, CEO,
Sterling Regional MedCenter

Michelle Joy became CEO of Sterling Regional MedCenter in November 2007. Prior to becoming CEO of Sterling Regional MedCenter, she was CEO of Banner Lassen Medical Center.

Having worked at Banner Lassen since 2000, Joy held positions as associate administrator and director of Planning and Marketing. As associate administrator, she was responsible for the management and leadership of the facility’s laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, plant operations and medical staff services.

Prior to joining Banner Health, Joy held positions with the Iowa Health System in Des Moines, Iowa and the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa.

Joy holds a bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa and a master's of Health Administration from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa.  She is a diplomate in the American College of Healthcare Executives .

Joy is an active community volunteer and serves on the Susanville Symphony Society Board of Directors, Northeastern Rural Health Network Board of Directors, Eskaton Lassen Manor Board of Directors, and the Susanville Sunrise Rotary.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Rocky and their twin boys.
