Pam Nenaber is chief executive officer of Pharmacy Services for Banner Health. Banner Pharmacy Services’ (BPS) vision is to be recognized nationally as a clinical leader and trusted partner in proactively providing innovative pharmacy services through excellence in integration, care coordination, medication management and service to make a difference in people’s lives. BPS encompasses the following:
- Clinical services
- Acute Care pharmacies
- Retail pharmacies (including home delivery)
- Specialty pharmacy
- Drug preparation and dispensing
- Pharmacy benefit management
Prior to this position, she served as chief operating officer of Banner Medical Group (BMG), an organization of 1100+ providers in 197 locations across six states. Prior to BMG, she served as chief executive officer of Banner Gateway Medical Center, a new 176 bed state-of-the-art facility that opened in 2007 and Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center that opened in 2011 in Gilbert, Ariz.
Prior to BGMC/BMDACC, from 2000-2005 she was one of the founding members of Banner Health’s Care Management, a new division that focuses on oversight for improvement of clinical care and patient safety across the system. Previously, Nenaber served as Regional Vice President in IHS Home Care, a national home care company from 1995-1999.
Nenaber has also held several positions with Samaritan Health System, one of the predecessor organizations to Banner Health, including strategic planning, technology and innovation and management services for executive leadership.
Nenaber is a Fellow in the professional organization of American College of Healthcare Executives.
Active in the community, she previously served as president of the Seton Catholic High School advisory board and served on the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce board of directors, where she was also named Gilbert Businesswoman of the Year in 2012.
She holds a Bachelors of Science from Columbia University and a Masters in Health Services Administration from Arizona State University.
