Quentin P. Smith, Jr.

Quentin P. Smith Jr., our chair, serves on the audit, compensation, corporate strategy, finance, investment and nominating committees.'

Smith is president of Cadre Business Advisors LLC (Cadre), a professional management-consulting firm with an emphasis on strategic planning, business performance improvement, and crisis management.

He has more than thirty years experience in providing publicly and privately held businesses and governmental agencies with professional business services, developing operating growth strategies, and resolving important management issues.  His recent assignments have included working with entrepreneurs as well as large, mature companies in which he typically assumes the role of chairman of the board or interim CEO.  In those capacities, Smith takes on the responsibility for corporate governance, capital formation, setting the company’s operating strategy, and guiding it to profitability.  He has worked with organizations that range from start-ups to $1+ billion publicly traded companies. 

Smith received his bachelor’s degree in industrial management and computer science from the Krannert School of Business at Purdue University and his master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University.

His other board service has included/includes Arizona Public Service Company, Rodel, Inc., the Arizona MultiBank, Greater Phoenix Leadership, the Morrison Institute for Public Policy at Arizona State University, and the Maricopa Partnership for Arts and Culture.
