Rona Curphy, CEO

Rona Curphy serves as Chief Executive Officer of Banner Casa Grande Medical Center. The hospital joined Banner Health in June 2014.
Rona was originally appointed as the CEO/President of Casa Grande Regional Medical Center in July 2009 after serving as Interim CEO since February 2009. Up until her appointment as the CEO, Rona served as the Chief Nursing Officer for the organization since 2002.
Prior to joining Casa Grande Regional Medical Center, she served as Director of Nursing for St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith, AR, a 343-bed acute tertiary facility from 1993 to 2002. She was responsible for 650 FTEs and was involved with Senior Management in strategic planning as well as development of new service lines and a major expansion project. She has been in nursing management for the last 28 years.
Rona holds a Diploma in Nursing from Clarkson College of Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from John Brown University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. Rona is also a Johnson & Johnson/Wharton Fellow having completed the program in Management for Nurse Executives and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She received the Business Leader of the Year award in 2011 from the Greater Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce and AZ Business Best Female Leader in 2012.
