Dr. Steve Narang
Steve Narang, MD, was named chief executive officer for Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in April 2013.
Dr. Narang previously served as chief medical officer at Cardon Children's Medical Center in Mesa, Ariz for about two years.
His prior experience includes several medical director and teaching positions in Louisiana, including medical director of graduate medical education and medical director of pediatric emergency services at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Dr. Narang received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago and completed his pediatrics residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He also holds a master’s degree in health care management from Harvard University in Boston.
Dr. Narang plays an active role in the health care community. He is the founder and medical director of the American Academy of Pediatrics-Value in Pediatrics National Quality Improvement Collaborative Network as well as a member of the executive board of the quality committee of the Arizona American Academy of Pediatrics Committee, among others.
Dr. Narang offers expertise in change management, quality improvement and patient safety, graduate medical education, hospital-physician alignment and practice management.
