Mortality Rates

We closely monitor our mortality rates and carefully review each case so we can improve our care practices as needed.

Our mortality rates are adjusted for certain risk factors, with the understanding that some patients because of their age and other factors may be at greater risk for complications or have more severe forms of illness. 

Adjusting for risk  makes it easier to make hospital-to-hospital comparisons because some facilities tend to attract more severely ill patients
