At Banner Health, we look at several different factors to evaluate our surgical care. They include:
- The number of surgical patients who receive antibiotics within one hour before their surgery
- The number of surgical patients who have their antibiotics discontinued within 24 hours of their surgery. Prolonged use of antibiotics is not generally recommended for surgery patients.
