CHICAGO (Feb. 29, 2012) – Banner Health’s Simulation Education program has been accredited by the American College of Surgeons – becoming the first program that ACS has accredited across an entire health care system.
Banner Health wins health care leadership awards
PHOENIX, Ariz. (March 4, 2010) – Banner Health President and CEO Peter S. Fine was honored as top executive at the 3rd Annual Health Care Leadership Awards, sponsored by Arizona Business Magazine. Also recognized at the March 3 ceremony was Joseph Rogers, Ph.D., a researcher and founder of the Banner Sun Health Research Institute, who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement in Research award. The Banner Simulation Medical Center was a finalist in the Medical Center/Hospital category.
Banner Health debuts computerized mannequins
PHOENIX (Jan.8, 2007) - Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center has a new program in which Phoenix firefighters and paramedics practice life-saving techniques. The hospital has provided a computerized obstetrics mannequin at the hospital's Simulation Education and Training (SimET) Center that firefighters and paramedics will use for practice.
