GILBERT, Ariz. (Aug. 4, 2009) -- The past year, Brittany Kunz has been into projects. She has made bows, redecorated her Mesa home, set up new shelving and "changed everything from top to bottom."
But her most meaningful project has been "Daxton's Box," a kit she designed for the emergency room at Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert.
Daxton's Box contains a soft toy, handmade blanket, disposable camera, a booklet for photo, handprint and footprint and cards with messages for parents who are coping with the loss of a baby in a hospital.
It's for parents like the Kunzes themselves, who had to cope with the loss of Daxton, their beloved 1-year-old son in June 2008.
