State-of-the-art center for preemies opens at Glendale's Banner Thunderbird Medical Center

GLENDALE, Ariz. (Aug. 12, 2009) Glendale's Banner Thunderbird Medical Center has just opened a $2 million women's health facility, an expansion of one of the few venues west of Phoenix able to treat premature babies younger than 28 weeks.

The Maternal Fetal Medicine Center connects to the 409-bed hospital at 5555 W. Thunderbird Road.

The center's opening triples the space Banner Thunderbird previously had devoted to maternal medicine and gynecological health.
