Arizona Governor Jan Brewer to dedicate Cardon Children's Medical Center

MESA, Ariz. (Nov. 6, 2009) – Arizona Governor Jan Brewer will dedicate the Valley’s newest medical facility, Cardon Children’s Medical Center, in a ceremony Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.

“This facility is an incredible addition to the state’s health care system,” said Arizona Governor Jan Brewer. “Not only will it provide critically needed health care services, but it is devoted to the state's most important population – Arizona's children.”

The ceremony will include remarks by Gov. Brewer and a blessing by children and spiritual leaders from several different faiths.

The center’s 248 beds will provide specialized care for Arizona’s families and a place that was built with children in mind from Day One.

“It is exciting to see the hard work and passion that have defined this project coming to fruition,” said Banner Health President and CEO Peter Fine. “We know Cardon Children’s Medical Center will make a difference in the lives of countless children and their families. Its opening will offer a new option for outstanding pediatric care that is clearly needed by the Valley’s growing population.”
