Banner Boswell assumes operations of Sun City Cardiac Center
SUN CITY, Ariz. (Oct. 1, 2009) – Nonprofit Banner Boswell Medical Center has assumed operations of one of the Valley’s premier cardiac catheterization lab services.
David Cheney, the hospital’s CEO, announced today that ownership of Sun City Cardiac Center Associates has transitioned to Banner Boswell. The Cardiac Center had been an independent provider of cardiac catheterization services to the hospital since 1984. Cardiac catheterization procedures are used to diagnose and treat certain heart conditions.
The transition will be seamless for patients and families. Located immediately adjacent to the hospital, the Cardiac Center will continue to serve Banner Boswell and its Heart Center, providing the same level of high quality inpatient and outpatient care to patients from its existing location. Physicians and staff at the Cardiac Center remain valued members of the cardiac catheterization team.

Sun City Cardiac Center previously was owned by a partnership between local physicians and MedCath Partners.
