Banner Churchill receives Care Flight Golden Award for Excellence
FALLON, NV (Aug. 6, 2014) — Banner Churchill Community Hospital’s Emergency Department recently received the quarterly Care Flight Golden Award for Excellence. The award was created by the team of Care Flight to recognize those outside of the organization who go above and beyond in helping their staff provide the highest level of care for patients in Northern Nevada and California. Care Flight is an emergency aviation service based out of Reno that transports critically injured or sick patients to hospitals in the region.
The Care Flight Golden Award for Excellence given to Banner Churchill recognizes two events which involved the hospital’s Emergency Room staff. One event occurred in January, when the hospital team was recognized for remaining calm and focused in a tense situation. The Care Flight crew was thankful for the high degree of competence and performance that allowed a patient to be transported safely.
The award also recognizes another event that occurred in March when Banner Churchill’s Emergency Room staff showcased outstanding coordination and teamwork during the transport of a patient. Care Flight recognized that the hospital and staff provided exceptional communication to the patient’s family.
