LOVELAND, Colo. (July 31, 2008) – Loveland and surrounding community members now have a greater choice of providers for heart care services in their own back yard. The CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado, in partnership with McKee Medical Center, will open a cardiovascular clinic in Loveland on Sept. 2.
In conjunction with the McKee Medical Center staff, the Institute physicians and staff will provide inpatient and outpatient diagnostic services including EKG, stress testing, and emergency chest pain consult. Heart catheterization and electrophysiology procedures (pacemakers, defibrillators) are also available at McKee through the clinic. Patients who receive heart-related services and treatment will be able to schedule their follow-up appointments in Loveland.
“We are very excited about our new location and partnership with McKee Medical Center,” said Dawn Olson, Director of Cardiovascular Services. “Our physicians and staff are pleased to be able to offer local, community-based heart services to residents in the Loveland area.”
Residents in need of open heart surgery and other high risk interventional procedures will be able to obtain those services at McKee’s sister facility, North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. The Institute also provides treatment for a full spectrum of venous disorders including outpatient non-surgical laser procedures for varicose veins. Its dedicated Peripheral Arterial Disease Clinic provides education as well as comprehensive screening and treatment.
The Institute’s medical staff and patients have the opportunity to participate in significant clinical and device research trials. “Many advances in medical technology have been made possible through research,” said Olson. “The availability of these trials enables us to contribute to the quality of life for people locally and world-wide.”
The CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado offers everything from the most advanced diagnostic imaging to leading edge open-heart surgery and rehabilitation through an accredited cardiac program. The CVI medical team is composed of highly-trained, board-certified physicians. NCMC and the Institute were recognized as a Thomson 100 Top Hospitals for Cardiovascular services, 2007.
In addition to the Loveland clinic, the CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado, based at NCMC, has clinics or offices in Brush, Fort Morgan, Holyoke, Sterling, Wray and Yuma.
Cardiologist physicians Randy Marsh, Cyndi Gryboski and Arnold Pfahnl will provide services at the Loveland clinic. The clinic will be open Monday through Friday in the Seven Lakes Medical Office Plaza, 1900 Boise Ave., Suite 200, located on the McKee Medical Center campus in Loveland.
