Images: Banner Health executives and the Cardon family greet and welcome former Governor, Mitt Romney, at hospital entrance; varying images of the group’s hospital tour.

Narrator’s Audio:  “Former Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney, recently joined Banner Health CEO, Peter Fine, and the Cardon family for a tour of the new home for Cardon Children’s Medical Center. Governor Romney took time out of a busy stop-over in Phoenix to see Banner’s newest hospital built just for kids. And, if first impressions are any indication, Governor Romney liked what he saw when he walked through the hospital doors.”

Audio:  “Well, you know, I must admit the lobby is an immediate welcome. People will come from outdoors, where it’s hot as can be, and they’ll walk into a garden environment with trees, with water flowing around them, and with things to do all around them—even on the floor, there are things kids can do to draw their attention. So, rather than focus on how ill they might feel, they’ll be interested in seeing such a beautiful environment and things to do. It’s a great place for kids. And I was one once, so I know.”

Narrator’s Audio:  “As part of his tour, Governor Romney saw the new pediatric intensive care unit and patient rooms that feature child-friendly theming and soothing colors. He also visited the Forever Young Zone, which will be a medical-free area for kids to relax, play and interact. Banner CEO, Peter Fine, said Governor’s Romney’s visit means a lot to Banner Health.”

Images: Peter Fine, Banner Health’s CEO, speaks on- and off-camera over images of the hospital tour.

Audio:  “To have people of his stature show an interest in what we are doing and the kinds of things that we are doing, it means a lot to us. This whole development of this facility is all about support. It’s all about getting support from people and it’s all about talking about what we’re trying to do.”

Images: Peter Fine continues on- and off-camera over images of the hospital and photos of the children enjoying the age-appropriate amenities that the hospital provides.

Audio:  “It’s the ability to have a kid walk in here and have them smile, even though they’re in a very distressed situation. And to take some of the pressure and the intensity of that—of a typical health care atmosphere, and try to put them in the position to create as much comfort as they can achieve.”

Images: Former Gov. Mitt Romney continues on-camera.

Audio:  “Coming here will be great for children and it’s a tribute to the Cardon family that they were willing to make this extraordinary contribution.”
