Phoenix family welcomes quintuplets
PHOENIX (June 13, 2014) – Roxanna and Michael Hoffman have five new reasons to celebrate this Father’s Day. The Hoffmans, new residents of Surprise, delivered the quintuplets at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix on Friday under the care of perinatologist and multiple birth specialist John Elliott, MD, and perinatologist Diana Danilenko, MD.
Mrs. Hoffman is in good condition at Banner Good Samaritan and the quintuplets are receiving care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at the nonprofit facility.
The Hoffmans relocated to the Phoenix area from New Jersey for the high level of care provided by perinatologist and multiple birth specialist John Elliott, MD.
Michael, a staff sergeant stationed at Luke Air Force Base, was relocated to the Valley of the Sun by the Air Force, so he could be closer to his wife after she was admitted to Banner Good Samaritan.
The babies – one boy and four girls – were born between 8:15 a.m. and 8:17 a.m., on Friday, June 13, following a pregnancy of 31 weeks and 1 days. The national average gestation for quintuplets is 28 weeks.
Conner, a new big brother, will be giving each of his younger siblings their names when he sees them.
