TORRINGTON, WYO., (Nov. 10, 2005) – Banner Health's Community Hospital, Torrington, Wyo., was again honored with the Mountain-Pacific Quality Health Foundation's Hospital Quality Award for their commitment to sustained performance in giving patients quality care. Receiving the award for Community Hospital were Susan Kautz, R.N., Patient Care Coordinator; Gordy Lewis, CEO; & Louise Posten, R.N., Chief Nursing Officer.
"This is the second consecutive year Community Hospital has received the quality award,"Gordy Lewis, CEO of Community Hospital said. "I believe this award is a sign of our continuous efforts in providing service excellence to all of the communities which we serve."
Torrington's Community Hospital was one of four Wyoming hospitals receiving the sustained Commitment to Quality Award: Ivinson Memorial in Laramie, Memorial in Douglas; and Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.
The Hospital Quality Awards were created to recognize each hospital's medical care given in a variety of areas. This is the third year Mountain-Pacific Quality Health Foundation has presented Wyoming medical facilities with Hospital Quality Awards. "Community Hospital in Torrington is proud to be recognized by the foundation for Performing to our Promise," said Lewis.
