Expert on dementia and Alzheimer’s disease plans presentation
GREELEY, Colo. (Sept. 16, 2008) — A world-renowned researcher on diagnosis and therapy for dementia and Alzheimer’s disease will give a free educational presentation at 7 p.m., Sept. 23 in Greeley.
Dr. Pierre Tariot serves as associate director of the Banner Alzheimer’s Institute and director of the Institute’s Memory Disorders Center in Phoenix. He also has an appointment as Research Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
Dr. Tariot has investigated and lectured extensively on multiple aspects of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. His presentations also address recognition and management of behavioral disturbances in long-term care settings, treatment of depression in the elderly and the roles of caregivers and community resources.
This presentation, sponsored by the North Colorado Medical Center Spirit of Women program, is free and open to the public. It takes place in the auditorium at Greeley Central High School, 1515 14th Ave., in Greeley. There is no need to register.
