NCMC Cancer program hosts survivors’ luncheon
GREELEY, Colo. (Nov. 7, 2008) —North Colorado Medical Center’s cancer program was pleased to host a Cancer Survivor’ Luncheon earlier this month with national speaker Sharon Lee Parker.
Parker is a well known author, speaker, and founder of the “Life Lovers’ Foundation,” which supports new and innovative cancer research. The speaker was brought to northern Colorado in collaboration with the University of Northern Colorado Foundation.
The NCMC Cancer Institute hosted the Oct. 15 luncheon, which was well attended by cancer survivors in northern Colorado, as well as oncology health professionals and community members involved in cancer awareness and education. Parker signed copies of her recent book, “Look Out Cancer Here I Come.” Ten participants also received free copies of the book, courtesy of the NCMC Cancer Institute.
