Banner Boswell earns CT Imaging accreditation
SUN CITY, Ariz. (May 26, 2009) – Banner Boswell Medical Center’s Medical Imaging department recently received an additional accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR), this time on the hospital’s second Computed Tomography (CT) scanner. Also accredited by the ACR are the hospital’s Ultrasound and Women’s Diagnostic Services departments, MRI, and Outpatient MRI, CT scan and Ultrasound.
According to the ACR, the accreditation seal tells patients: “The personnel are well qualified, through education and certification, to perform and interpret your medical images, the equipment is appropriate for the test or treatment you will receive, and the facility meets or exceeds quality assurance and safety guidelines.”
“The ACR accreditation process is very rigorous, and ensures that nationally accepted standards are met. It requires a team focused on clinical quality outcomes. Ultimately our patients are the benefactors of all this work. We have a dedicated group of clinicians who have worked hard to achieve this designation,” said Debbie Flores, associate administrator at Banner Boswell. “This accreditation is one more way we carry out our mission to provide excellent patient care.”
