First McKee Community Health Award presented at annual Thank You Loveland Luncheon
LOVELAND, Colo. (March 4, 2009) -The annual McKee Medical Center Foundation Thank You Loveland luncheon took place Friday, Feb 27 at the McKee Conference and Wellness Center. The luncheon is an annual opportunity to honor individual and community support for McKee Medical Center.
Donor generosity, staff compassion and the strength of caring all provide excellent patient care at Loveland’s community hospital. Inspiring stories of caring, compassion and life-changing experiences were shared and the first annual McKee Community Health Award, presented by the McKee Medical Center Foundation, was presented to Melanie Keech, owner of Home Helpers of Northern Colorado.
Keech was nominated by Sue Spahr, Community Relations coordinator for Home Helpers of Northern Colorado. “Melanie is a behind-the-scenes educator, innovator and hard worker. She does not seek out opportunities or positions to put herself in the spotlight but instead gets the job done in a quiet, unassuming manner,” Spahr wrote in her nominating letter.
The McKee Community Health Award honors one individual that has contributed to the overall health and wellness of the Loveland community either through direct care or volunteer service in the Loveland health care field.
