Loveland Turkey Trot breaks record for attendance

LOVELAND, Colo. (Nov. 30, 2009)  - The Loveland Turkey Trot 5K run/walk was held Thanksgiving morning at McKee Medical Center. Mild morning temperatures made for great running weather for the more than 1,600 participants and more than  100 volunteers – the most ever for this annual event.

More than $34,000 was raised. One-hundred percent of entry fees and sponsorship contributions will benefit the Banner Simulation System at McKee, increasing patient safety and care.

Overall winners were: 1st Place Male: Jed Morgan with a time of 17:01; 1st Place Female: Becky Schmitt with a time of 17:48; 1st Place Male Masters: Ralf Schmaeding with a time of 17:47 and 1st Place Female Masters: Pam Boudreau with a time of 21:40.  Overall Walker Winners were William Rogers, 1st Place Male, with a time of 31:42 and Dez Massie, 1st Place Female, with a time of 31:17.
