McKee Medical Center Foundation plans health care discussion

 

LOVELAND, Colo.  (May 29, 2009) – The McKee Medical Center Foundation has put together a panel of experts to discuss proposals for national health care. The event is 6:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday, June 11 at the McKee Conference and Wellness Center.

Three local experts will discuss their views on options for meeting America’s increasing health care needs. Each presenter will share his perspective and address specific questions. An open forum for questions and answers from the audience will follow.

Presenters include:

  • Mark Wallace, MD – Governor’s Blue Ribbon Commission 208 – Commission Overview and Findings
  • Randy Marsh, MD – Health Care for All Colorado – Single Payer Health Care
  • James J. Scholl, CLU, CHFC –National Health Care Underwriters, Legislative Chair

Dixie Schmatz of the League of Women Voters will be the panel moderator.

The event will begin with a 15-minute presentation from each panel member representing his perspective on universal and other health care options.  The panel will then discuss four to five preselected questions.  Afterward, questions will be taken from the audience.
