McKee welcomes Loveland’s newest Sweethearts

LOVELAND, Colo.  (Feb. 6, 2009) – Throughout the week leading up to Valentine’s Day, McKee Medical Center will present each mother who has a new baby at the hospital with a special, heartfelt gift.

Before going home, the new moms and babies will receive a Valentine’s basket with chocolates and flowers and have their photos taken for a keepsake.

“As the community hospital for the Sweetheart City, we wanted to do something fun and special to recognize the holiday and say thank you to our patients,” said Public Relations Director Paul Matthews. “Who knows – we might have a future Cupid Dan or Miss Loveland Valentine in the group.”

In 2008, 941 babies were born at McKee Medical Center. The Family Birthing Center, which opened in 2005, offers private birthing suites where mothers can labor, deliver, receive post-partum care and recover without having to move to a new location. Each spacious room offers a jetted tub and flat screen television.
