NCMC schedules more community H1N1 vaccination clinics

GREELEY, Colo. (Nov. 30, 2009) — North Colorado Medical Center Community Wellness will offer H1N1 vaccinations to members of the public who meet certain criteria during four additional clinics scheduled this week.

The first 1,200 doses of the H1N1 vaccine will be offered at no charge. All vaccines are the inactivated injectable doses. Recipients must live in Weld County and meet eligibility criteria outlined by the Weld County Health Department:

• Pregnant women
• Health care workers with direct patient responsibilities
• Parents and caretakers of children under 6 months old
• All healthy people ages 4 to 24 years old (We are unable to vaccinate children under 4.)
• People 25 to 64 years old with chronic health conditions.

SEASONAL influenza vaccine is also available to any community member while supplies last. Other vaccines will be offered for a fee at these clinics: tetanus, $40, tdap, $65, and pneumonia, $50. Cash, credit card and checks are accepted for these vaccines. Medicare Part B is accepted for pneumonia and seasonal flu only.
