Seasons Club presentation explores the impacts loss on a person’s life

LOVELAND, Colo. (Feb. 25, 2009) – The Seasons Club at McKee Medical Center will sponsor a program to examine how the grief experience from various types of loss can impact people differently.

Nancy Jakobsson, a grief counselor and director of Pathways Hospice and the Loveland Rotary’s Citizen of the Year, will talk about her 18 years experience as a grief counselor and share insights from many years of working in the community.

“We experience loss throughout life – some small and others that may have a life-changing impact,” said Seasons Club director Phoebe Hawley. “The normal response to loss is grief, and grief has the capacity to turn your life upside down and literally impact every area of your life.”

Jakobsson will present her program at 10 a.m. March 4 at the McKee Conference and Wellness Center. There is no cost to attend. Please register by calling (970) 635-4097.

The Seasons Club of McKee Medical Center was created to enhance the quality of life for mature adults through health promotion, education and recreation. For more information, please visit www.bannerhealth.com, Keyword: McKee Seasons Club.
