A nominal fee of $25 per person will be charged. To register, call (602) 230-CARE or visit www.bannerhealth.com and select classes, events and support, then events. Options for different morning appointment times are available.

Each participant meets privately one-on-one with a nurse, who conducts the comprehensive screening which includes a cardiac risk assessment, cholesterol screening, blood-pressure check and body composition analysis. A report will be provided for each participant to take home, along with pertinent information and heart health resources as follow up. Participants’ physicians also will be sent a copy.

“Knowing more about risks for the disease, whether it is hereditary or environmental, is key to maintaining heart health,” said Vincent Nicchi, MD, medical director for the Heart Health Check program. “This screening arms each participant with vital information that empowers them to take control of their heart health and possibly avoid problems further on down the road.”
