Banner Health Torrington signs agreement with new family practice physician

TORRINGTON, Wyo. (June 4, 2010) - Family Practice Physician Anna Wilkins recently signed an agreement with Banner Health and will join Banner Medical Clinic this summer.  Wilkins received her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and her master’s degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.  While completing her Master’s, Wilkins worked for Baxter Healthcare Corporation in Los Angeles.  As the Clinical Project Analyst at Baxter, Wilkins was responsible for analyzing and reporting activity for multiple biopharmaceutical clinical trial projects.

Wilkins received her M.D. from the American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles, and completed clerkship training at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield.  Wilkins is currently completing her residency at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.  She will complete her residency and take her board exams this summer, before arriving in Torrington. 

Wilkins enjoys outdoor activities including snowboarding, bicycling and gardening.  While spending the month of February working with the physicians at Banner Medical Clinic, she had a chance to become familiar with the Torrington community and found it to be friendly and interesting. 

“I’m looking forward to practicing medicine in Wyoming and expanding on the wonderful experiences I’ve had during my residency,” she said.  “I’m happy to be practicing medicine in a small town, and near my family in Cheyenne.”
