Banner Ironwood Medical Center Sneak Peek April 10

 

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. (March 2, 2010) – Banner Ironwood Medical Center, on Gantzel Road just south of Combs Road, will hold a Sneak Peek event on Sat., April 10, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to introduce the community to the hospital and its services.

The event will include a unique activity from noon to 1 p.m. when residents are invited to put their handprint on the hospital. Presentations by Banner Ironwood CEO Deb Krmpotic, information about services the hospital will provide upon opening and a free barbeque will also be part of the event. Tours will NOT be available.

“We want the community to embrace Banner Ironwood as their own,” says CEO Deb Krmpotic. “That’s why we are inviting people to put their handprint on the hospital.” Attendees will be able to place their handprint in cement on the property from noon to 1 p.m. as a symbol of their connection to Banner Ironwood.

Other activities at the Sneak Peek include:

  • Presentations with CEO Deb Krmpotic every half-hour beginning at 11 a.m.
  • Information about the hospital’s main services including Obstetrics, Emergency, Surgery and Intensive Care, and extended Banner Health resources
  • Free barbeque
  • Kids activities

The first phase of Banner Ironwood Medical Center will open Nov. 1, 2010 with a full-service Emergency department, 36 inpatient beds and a focus on general and intensive care, obstetrics and surgery.  Of the 36 beds, 12 will be dedicated to medical surgical care and 12 will be licensed as a multi-service organizing unit, allowing the provision of varying levels of care from general to intensive care based on patient needs. The obstetrics program will include 12 postpartum beds along with four labor/delivery/recovery rooms and two c-section suites. To serve inpatient and outpatient needs, the hospital will include four surgical suites and medical imaging services (X-ray, MRI, CT and ultrasound).
