Blood Drive Scheduled for May 26

BRUSH (May 4, 2010) – East Morgan County Hospital will be holding a blood drive on May 26 at the hospital.  “Donating blood gives back to our community and helps our patients when they need a transfusion,” said Connie Hume, blood bank supervisor at EMCH.  “On average a transfusion for a patient will require two units.”

The North Colorado Medical Center Mobile Blood Bank will be on site in the south parking lot, Wednesday, May 26 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. to draw blood.

To schedule an appointment call Connie Hume at 842-6257, appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcomed. The units donated will go into inventory and are used for our patients needing transfusions said Hume.  This opportunity is open to the public, new donors are always welcomed.  If you are going to donate blood, please remember to drink plenty of water.

For more information contact Connie Hume at EMCH (970) 842-6257.
