Get to know your heart at a free seminar in Peoria on April 21

 

SUN CITY, Ariz. (March 23, 2010) – Learn the ins and outs of your heart at a free seminar on Wednesday, April 21 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Rio Vista Recreation Center in Peoria, 8866-A W. Thunderbird Road, inside Rio Vista Community Park. Pre-register by calling (623) 773-8600.

“Getting to Know Your Heart” will be presented by Lindsy Brucker-Wall, Cardiac Rehabilitation Supervisor at Banner Boswell Medical Center. Attendees will learn terminology, basic anatomy and physiology of the heart muscle (how it works), and gain an understanding of different cardiac tests and procedures.

“Your heart is one of the most important muscles in your body,” said Brucker-Wall. “Learning more about your heart can help you prevent disease, and have a more successful recovery from any heart problem.”

Banner Boswell Medical Center and Rio Vista Recreation Center are partners in offering free health education seminars each month and a variety of healthy events throughout the year.
