Heart Failure Educational Series begins with a focus on eating for the heart
LOVELAND, Colo. (Jan. 5, 2010) – McKee Medical Center will kick off a new series of classes Tuesday, Jan. 12, aimed at helping people diagnosed with heart failure.
The Heart Failure Educational Series offers people with heart failure and their family and friends information, resources and support. The series is free and open to members of the community.
The first class is Tuesday, Jan. 12 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the McKee Conference and Wellness Center. The topic for this first class is: Nutrition – Getting to the Heart of Healthy Eating. The speaker is Haley Edwards, registered dietitian.
The series continues the second Tuesday of every month with topics that range from defining heart failure, tips for living an active life with heart failure, and devices and surgeries to treat heart failure.
