Skin Cancer: Know the Risks

 

BRUSH, Colo. (April 28, 2010) – As the summer quickly approaches, do you know the risk factors associated with skin cancer? There are several different types; each one has different prevention approaches. The East Morgan County Hospital surgeons, Thomas Bryant, MD, Lawrence Schoelkopf, MD, invite you to join them May 6 for the next Lobby Lecture Series topic: Skin Cancer.

Participants will learn about:

  • different types of skin cancer
  • risk factors
  • understand prevention strategies
  • types of treatments

Lobby Lectures will be in the EMCH lobby at 7 p.m., May 6.  Please use the main entrance to the hospital. 

Dr. Bryant and Dr. Schoelkopf hope to inform those who have suspicious skin spots about the options available for the prevention and treatment. This educational opportunity is the sixth in the series that they are presenting to the public. The lecture is offered free of charge and will give participants the opportunity to ask questions and receive information.

Dr. Bryant is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has more than 25 years of experience as a general and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Schoelkopf is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has more than 18 years of experience. He specializes in general and laparoscopic surgery. Both are certified by the American Board of Surgery.
