McKee Medical Center welcomes Front Range Cancer Specialists

 

LOVELAND, Colo.  (July 27, 2010) – McKee Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of new hematology and oncology physicians who will care for patients at McKee Cancer Center.

Five new providers will begin seeing patients Aug. 2 at the cancer center, located at 2050 N. Boise Ave. The providers are Diana Medgyesy, MD, FACP; James Moore, MD; Robert Marschke, Jr., MD; Ross McFarland, MD, and nurse practitioner Amy Wing, FNP-C.

Each of the physicians is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology. Combined, the group has more than 50 years of experience in treating patients affected by cancer.

Marilyn Schock, CEO of McKee Medical Center, said the group offers advanced clinical trials, nutritional support and therapy education for patients and families.

“These physicians will collaborate with our team of general surgeons and radiation oncologists to determine the most appropriate treatments for our patients,” Schock said. “They will continue the tradition of providing excellent cancer care close to home.”

Dr. Medgyesy and her colleagues attract patients from a broad area, including all of Colorado as well as Nebraska and Wyoming. The practice will continue to operate at both of its locations: Fort Collins and  Loveland.

In addition to medical oncology, the McKee Cancer Center offers comprehensive radiation oncology services, support groups and oncology social workers, music and art therapy, access to clinic trials, and educational materials.

Recognized for cancer care excellence, McKee Medical Center has been designated a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
