McKee foundation sponsors panel on Medicare, resources for seniors
LOVELAND, Colo. (Sept. 2, 2010) – Join local experts Thursday, Sept. 9 from 3 to 5 p.m. for a Senior Care Panel to identify the cautions and opportunities of current Medicare funding and community support services for seniors. Presenters will give overviews of their area of expertise, discuss pressing issues and address questions from the audience.
The panel discussion will be at the McKee Conference and Wellness Center, Friends Room, 2000 Boise Ave., Loveland.
Presenters include:
- Phoebe Hawley, Director of Senior Services, McKee Medical Center. A general overview of Medicare Choice, Supplemental Insurance for the community living seniors
- Yvonne Meyers, Health Systems Director, Columbine Health Systems. Medicare and Supplemental Insurance Coverage for Independent Living, Assisted Living, Long Term Care, and HomeCare
- Laura Sutherlin, Long Term Care Resource Specialist, Larimer County Office on Aging. Community Support Services for non Medical Home Care, Transportation, Food and other Services.
- Dixie Schmatz, PhD, meeting facilitator and consultant and moderator for the event.
