North Colorado Medical Center announces schedule of flu shot clinics
GREELEY, Colo. (Sept. 6, 2010) – On Sept. 22, the Wellness Services team at North Colorado Medical Center will offer the first of several community flu shot clinics in Greeley and surrounding communities. The vaccination offered is to help prevent the seasonal flu. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends getting the flu shot as soon as it is available to provide protection if the flu season comes early. This year’s vaccine contains the H1N1 strain that was prevalent in the 2009-2010 season.
Clinics are open to all adults as well as children ages 4-17 who are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Flu vaccines are $25.
NCMC will offer pneumonia shots for $70 and tetanus/whooping cough shots for $65.
Medicare billing is available for flu and pneumonia vaccines. Please bring your Medicare Part B card. No other insurance billing is offered. Cash, checks and credit cards are also accepted.
In addition to the clinics listed, flu shots will be available for walk-in patients at Summit View Medical Commons. People wanting vaccinations can visit the clinic Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 8 a.m. and noon or Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. from Oct. 4 through Oct. 28. Summit View Medical Commons is located at 2001 70th Ave., in Greeley.
