Banner Boswell screening offers profile of heart health
SUN CITY, Ariz. (July 8, 2011) – Is your heart healthy? Not sure? Get to know your heart better with a Healthy Heart Check assessment at Banner Boswell Medical Center, 10401 W. Thunderbird Blvd. in Sun City.
The 30-minute heart health profile, offered monthly on the second and fourth Tuesday, provides participants with a better understanding of their risk for heart disease and offers individualized ways to help lower their risk.
The private screening includes a cardiac risk assessment, cholesterol screening, blood-pressure check and body composition analysis. Participants receive a comprehensive report to take home, along with pertinent information and heart health resources as follow up. Participants also are given a copy of the screening results to take to their physician.
“Knowing more about risks for the disease, whether it is hereditary or environmental, is key to maintaining heart health,” said cardiologist Vincent Nicchi, M.D. “This screening arms each participant with vital information that empowers them to take control of their heart health and possibly avoid problems further on down the road.”
The cost of the screening is $25. To register, call (602) 230-CARE (2273) during normal business hours, or visit www.bannerhealth.com/230CARE and select “Class & Event Search” then choose Heart Health Check-Boswell” for the event name.
