Banner Del E. Webb launches valet service for patients
SUN CITY WEST (Nov. 1, 2011) – Halloween brought new treat for patients visiting the Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center women's center and day-surgery.
The nonprofit hospital launched a pilot program this month that will provide an added level of service for its patients, as a free valet service started Oct. 31 at the Lousia Kellam Center for Women’s Health entrance. American Valet serves that entrance 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
While the service is offered, about 20-30 spaces in the Women’s Center lot will be used to park the vehicles of those patients choosing to use the valet parking.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for us to show our patients how much we care,” said Banner Del E. Webb’s Safety and Security Director Diane Krienitz.
Our current volunteer services golf carts will continue to pick up and drive patients and visitors to and from their vehicles in all areas of the parking lots, but now our customers will have a choice to use whatever service works best for them.
The valet pilot program is expected to last until April 2012, when the hospital’s administration will evaluate the program and decide if it showed enough benefit to patients to make it a permanent fixture at Banner Del E. Webb.
