Banner Health named one of Arizona's Most Admired Companies for second consecutive year

PHOENIX (Sept. 20, 2010) – Banner Health, one of the state’s largest employers, has been named as one of Arizona's Most Admired Companies for the second year in a row.

Arizona Business Magazine and BestCompaniesAZ today named Banner Health as one of the most admired companies in the state. Banner Health also won last year, the first time the award was given out.

Also named for the second consecutive year was Sonora Quest Laboratories, a subsidiary of Laboratory Sciences of Arizona, which is a joint venture between Banner Health and Quest Diagnostics.

Companies were selected for the award for excellence in workplace culture, leadership excellence, social responsibility and customer opinion.

Banner Health, which is based in Phoenix, has more than 35,000 employees with operations in seven states. It also has been named as one of Arizona's Best Places to Work for four  consecutive years.
