Banner Lassen Medical Center hires new CNO 

 

SUSANVILLE, Calif. (June 14, 2011) -- Catherine Harshbarger has been hired as the new chief nursing officer at Banner Lassen Medical Center. 

Harshbarger has more than 28 years of nursing experience, with more than 12 years of experience in a nursing leadership role.

She comes to Banner Lassen from Pueblo West, Colorado where she was the director of Patient Services.  Harshbarger has a diverse clinical background in acute care, home health, case management and physician clinics.

Her extensive education includes a BSN from the University of Phoenix where she graduated with honors.  In addition to her BSN, she is also currently working on completion of a Master’s Degree.  She has also held leadership positions for a variety of special projects in the healthcare field.

In accepting the CNO position at Banner Lassen Medical Center, Harshbarger expressed her excitement in joining  Banner Lassen.  “I am very excited to be working at a hospital where people are taking care of their neighbors,” said Harshbarger.  “I also want to express my dedication to serving this community for years to come,” she said.
