Need help paying for healthcare?
BRUSH, Colo. (Oct. 24, 2011) – East Morgan County Hospital will host a forum, Paying for Healthcare, as a service to the community on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the hospital, 2400 W. Edison in Brush. Paying for Healthcare will be held in the main conference room from 3:30 – 6 p.m.
This informative program will offer attendees an opportunity to learn about available resources. Those with high deductible insurance plans, no health insurance, or premium too high to cover others in this family will be able to receive information about available options.
Insurance agents Ron Marshall and Stacy Rodriguez, Ingmire-Phillips Insurance, Inc., and Sharon Kauffman, Insurance Connection, will be available to explain individual health insurance plans as well as a new employer sponsored policy, Colorado Healthy Choice. This business funded plan gives employers an option to provide insurance for their employees with a premium that is below current market costs.
Health savings plans are another option for individuals with high deductibles. Bank of Colorado representatives will be available to explain the details of these savings plans.
Medicaid offers assistance with healthcare and prescriptions. Even some with health insurance might qualify for Medicaid. Morgan County Department of Human Services representative will be able to provide information about the many resources Medicaid has to offer.
EMCH’s Patient Access Services representative will be on hand to explain the Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP). This program looks at the family income, the number of household members, and the family’s medical/prescription bills. In some instances, individuals can qualify for this program even if they have health insurance. The patient access services representative will be able to provide more information.
