Banner Arizona Medical Clinic practices renamed as Banner Health Centers
"Banner Medical Group (BMG) and the Banner Arizona Medical Clinic practices are reorganizing to support our new vision: 'BMG is a single medical group (one practice) that operates in many locations over a diverse geographic area,' " said Jim Brannon, CEO of Banner Medical Group.
Although the practice names are changing, patients at these practices will continue to see their regular physicians and specialists, and all phone numbers will remain the same.
The four Banner Health Centers are:
- Banner Health Center located at Peoria/Sun City Center
13640 N. Plaza del Rio Blvd.
Peoria, AZ 85381-4846
- Banner Health Center located at Thunderbird Professional Center
13760 N. 93rd Ave.
Peoria, AZ 85381-4203
- Banner Health Center located at Plaza Building Center
9165 W. Thunderbird Road
Peoria, AZ 85381-4847
- Banner Health Center located at Sun City West Center
14416 W. Meeker Blvd., Building C
Sun City West, AZ 85375-5284
Four additional BAMC practices at three satellite locations will be renamed Banner Health Clinics. These are the BAMC Desert Hills (Family Medicine) on 51st Avenue in Glendale, BAMC Peoria Station (Family Medicine) and BAMC Pulmonology on 67th Avenue in Glendale, and BAMC Sunrise Terrace (Family Medicine and Pediatrics) on Deer Valley Road in Peoria.
"This will allow us to operate and manage the medical group in a standardized fashion consistent with Banner’s approach of identifying ‘best practice’ and applying it across Banner operations. It will also allow us to deliver standardized, high-quality services that have the same look and feel to the people we serve in Banner communities," Brannon added.
The Banner Health Centers offer residents access to several medical providers and services in one location, including primary care (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics); Ancillary Services, such as lab draws, general medical imaging, and patient education; and specialty practices, such as Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopedics and more.
Other planned Banner Health Centers are:
- Banner Health Center located in Maricopa, Ariz., opening May 2012
- Banner Health Center at Verrado in Buckeye, Ariz., opening Fall 2012
- Banner Health Center in southwest Loveland, Colo., opening Fall 2012.
Banner Health plans additional health centers in Arizona, Colorado and Nevada. Many of these centers are designated by the Health Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as a “Medically Underserved Area” and a “Primary Care Health Professional Shortage Area."
"Banner Health is widely recognized for its clinical quality, customer service and positive patient outcomes," Brannon said. "When Banner is in the name, customers know they will receive quality care in a convenient location with physicians and staff they can trust."
