Banner Boswell continues free class on managing heart disease in April
SUN CITY, Ariz. (April 6, 2012) – Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City is continuing its free monthly education series “Taking Care of Your Heart” in April to help people learn more about their heart and understand how to better manage chronic heart disease at home. The next meeting will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24 in Memorial Hall on the first floor of Banner Boswell’s Support Services Building, 13180 N. 103rd Drive in Sun City.
The topic of this month’s class is “Survival Skills – Putting it All Together.” The lecture focuses on what to do when things go wrong, how to recognize signs of worsening heart failure and ways to manage it before it becomes an emergency. The presentation will be followed by the opportunity to participate in small group discussions with clinical experts, including registered nurses, pharmacists, exercise specialists and nutritionists. Individuals who recently experienced a heart attack or those who suffer from heart failure are encouraged to attend.
