Enter the Fit Kid Family contest
MESA, Ariz. (March 13, 2012) – As part of its effort to promote healthy lifestyles, Cardon Children’s Medical Center is looking for the 2012 Fit Kid Family – a Valley family that is dedicated to being active and healthy this year.
The contest is part of the Cardon Children’s Fit Kid Challenge, a free program for families to help them stay healthy by providing information such as health tips by medical experts, nutritious recipes, fitness ideas, information about active family events
Families can enter the Fit Kid Family online contest to win a trip to San Diego. Entry is simple: families submit a photo of themselves doing something healthy: hiking, biking, running, walking or even cooking a healthy meal together.

Online voting begins on March 26, and the family with the most votes will have the chance to win a family vacation for four to San Diego including admission to Sea World!
Prize information:
- One 4-day/3-night stay for four (4) at the Hilton San Diego Resort and Spa
- Family four-pack of tickets to SeaWorld San Diego
- Dinner for four (4) at Casa Guadalajara Restaurant in Historic Old Town
- Prize approximate value: $1142
Cardon Children’s launched the Fit Kid Challenge in 2010 to promote healthy lifestyles. Families can sign up to receive motivational messages via email, text and Facebook. The program is intended for school-aged kids between 5-13 of all shapes, sizes, and activity levels. Fun challenges, prizes and events are just part of the learning, and everyone in the family is encouraged to participate.
In addition to the Fit Kid Family winner, one family will win an additional SeaWorld San Diego Getaway just for registering for the Fit Kid Challenge. Other prizes given away include tickets to sports games, passes to activities like rock climbing and ice skating and more.
